Allah
said, in the Holy Qur’an Al Alaq verse
one, “Read, with the name of your God almighty created”. From here we know that
read is very important, because in islam, demand the knowledge is duty. So, we
must read in order that we can get knowledge.
Today, i’d like to talk about
the benefits of reading books. The first, we can get knowledge by reading books.
The second, reading books could prevent us from dementia disease. The third, we
can get many information we need in the books. And the last, reading eliminate
anxiety and distress.
As we know many people lazy to
reading the books, but actually many benefits of reading the books. Reading
books, newspapers, magazine or other media will train our brain to concentrate.
And the benefit of reading books is the first, we can get knowledge by reading
books. Dr. Aidh bin Abdullah al-Qarni in La Tahzan said, reading increase one’s
knowledge and improve memory and comprehension. So, reading books is very
helpful to increase our knowledge and improve our memory.
The second, reading books could
prevent us from dementia disease. A researcher from Henry Ford Health System, Dr. C. Edward Coffey prove
that reading books could prevent us from dementia disease. This happens because the reader can create a
kind of buffer layer that protects the brain
and replace changes.
Perhaps, because we are always invited to think when we are read, so we can
keep the brain active.
The third, we can get many
information we need in the books. When we read books there are many lesson we
get, so it can helps our brain developing. When i got homework from my lecture
for make financial report, i’m looked for in the books of accounting. So, the
books make it easy to do my homework.
And
the last, reading eliminate anxiety and distress. Because if we are reading, it
can losing our problem but if we are focus with the book. When i’m worried or
sad, usually i read books, such as novel
or magazine. And I think you can do that if you are worried or sad, so
you can be better, because reading eliminate anxiety and distress.
In
conclusion, we know many benefits of reading books. The first, we can get
knowledge by reading books. The second, reading books could prevent us from
dementia disease. The third, we can get many information we need in the books. And
the last, reading eliminate anxiety and distress. Many benefits gained by
reading, so please start reading from now friends.
